Tuesday of this farce we have witnessed the nth Berlusconi government. A government that Berlusconi once again demonstrates his lack of values, lack of dignity on the part of many parliamentarians. A mea culpa is too big to fit that PD and all'IDV MPs without considering the personal history and the moral quality; but only on packet-based marks they carry. Recall that the Di Pietro's party is not new to this error, see Senator De Gregorio in 2006. But I'm not very confident of the data (314 votes in favor of the government, 311 against, 2 abstentions) that are important for us, the people of the Left. The important numbers are those that are, unfortunately, all 617 deputies in favor dell'Austerity that Europe would impose on the majority of countries. What calls for Europe? A more rigorous economic, passing so as to pay greater attention to tax evasion, but mainly to an increase in taxes and reduced services. In addition to pointing out that Italy is the third European nation to load tax, this would mean to pay back the crisis to the working class, those most in need. Aberrant idea that we must reject in the strongest terms. In this situation nothing short of disastrous, how and where to act, the Federation of the Left? I'll try to explain my idea in the next lines.
Let's step back and go back to November 20 to 21, the day of the congress of the Federation of the Left. In this Congress has created a very important political actor, the first attempt to unite the Left Bolognina today. Currently the Federation is a container, a container but unfortunately political vacuum to fill. Our future existence depends on how we can fill it. The steps taken in this direction are very encouraging. We are present in all the struggles, both professional (see local Ideal Standard Rot Erde etc. ..), going to those rights (Reform Gelmini, Eviction case, rights for immigrants, etc. ..), arriving at those constitutional (see the case of Adro). We must not lose the will to fight for all of these realities, as we must not lose the thread, which is being repaired, with the movements, with the real society, those who struggle, what there is to be crushed by the big powers and big business. Our task must be this: be there and participate, bringing all our weight and our ideas to the Lead to these realities.
We reject any attempt at the same time that bourgeois solution to the crisis. I do not reject a priori, do not ever do it, reject it as the road has already been drawn since the crisis: who should pay the workers, an increase of taxes and a reduction of rights and services. It is no coincidence that the great Italian magnates in these two difficult years have increased their income, while the majority of workers struggling to make ends meet and while more than half a million people have lost their jobs. Do not be afraid to attack openly the parliamentary MPs that after all the difficulties this time is not reduced salary, but rather increase it. Members who receive a pension of € 3 000 per month even if the government did not arrive at the end of term. (Recall that the IDV Borghesi deputy tried to equate their pension to the workers' response to her amendment was: 498 against, 22 in favor). This is not to say that we fall into indifference and demagoguery, but we urge the caste and to understand the gap that exists between us and all these parties. The difference lies, and we still have to prove that we are really on the side of people, we are in deed and not words, like everyone else. It 's our prerogative: a party Communist who is not with the people is better than close. We demonstrate to be: we continue in the struggle that we have undertaken, we continue to support the movement. This will support the Federation of the Left.
